On closed definable subsets in Hensel minimal structures

    Authors: Krzysztof Jan Nowak

Abstract: This paper deals with Hensel minimal structures on non-trivially valued fields $K$. The main aim is to establish the following two properties of closed 0-definable subsets $A$ in the affine spaces $K^{n}$. Every such subset $A$ is the zero locus of a continuous 0-definable function $f:K^{n} \to K$, and there exists a 0-definable retraction $r: K^{n} \to A$. While the former property is a non-Archi… ▽ More

(163 additional authors not shown)

Abstract: We report a measurement of the energy-dependent total charged-current cross section $σ\left(E_ν\right)$ for inclusive muon neutrinos scattering on argon, as well as measurements of flux-averaged differential cross sections as a function of muon energy and hadronic energy transfer ($ν$). Data corresponding to 5.3$\times$10$^{19}$ protons on target of exposure were collected using the MicroBooNE liq… ▽ More

  47. Search for an anomalous excess of inclusive charged-current $ν_e$ interactions in the MicroBooNE experiment using Wire-Cell reconstruction

(162 additional authors not shown)

Abstract: We report a search for an anomalous excess of inclusive charged-current (CC) $ν_e$ interactions using the Wire-Cell event reconstruction package in the MicroBooNE experiment, which is motivated by the previous observation of a low-energy excess (LEE) of electromagnetic events from the MiniBooNE experiment. With a single liquid argon time projection chamber detector, the measurements of $ν_μ$ CC in… ▽ More

Wire-Cell 3D Pattern Recognition Techniques for Neutrino Event Reconstruction in Large LArTPCs: Algorithm Description and Quantitative Evaluation with MicroBooNE Simulation

    Authors: MicroBooNE collaboration, P. Abratenko, R. An, J. Anthony, L. Arellano, J. Asaadi, A. Ashkenazi, S. Balasubramanian, B. Baller, C. Barnes, G. Barr, V. Basque, L. Bathe-Peters, O. (163 additional authors not shown)

Abstract: Wire-Cell is a 3D event reconstruction package for liquid argon time projection chambers. Through geometry, time, and drifted charge from multiple readout wire planes, 3D space points with associated charge are reconstructed prior to the pattern recognition stage. Pattern recognition techniques, including track trajectory and $dQ/dx$ (ionization charge per unit length) fitting, 3D neutrino vertex… ▽ More

(161 additional authors not shown)

Abstract: This article presents the reconstruction of the electromagnetic activity from electrons and photons (showers) used in the MicroBooNE deep learning-based low energy electron search. The reconstruction algorithm uses a combination of traditional and deep learning-based techniques to estimate shower energies. We validate these predictions using two $ν_μ$-sourced data samples: charged/neutral current… ▽ More

Control of Electrochemical Corrosion Properties by Influencing Mn Partitioning through Intercritically Annealing of Medium-Mn Steel

Authors: René Daniel Pütz, Tarek Allam, Junmiao Wang, Jakub Nowak, Christian Haase, Stefanie Sandlöbes-Haut, Ulrich Krupp, Daniela Zander

Abstract: Medium-Mn steels exhibit excellent mechanical properties and lower production costs compared to high-Mn steels, which makes them a potential material for future application in the automotive industry. Intercritical annealing (ICA) after cold rolling allows to control the stacking fault energy (SFE) of austenite, the fraction of ferrite and reverted austenite, and the element partitioning (especial… ▽ More
